New Moon in Leo | August 12, 2026

Do not let pride become the obstacle.

The New Moon in Leo brings in strong energy around action, confidence, new beginnings, and forward movement. As always, new moons are a powerful time to set intentions, take stock of where you are, and make adjustments around what you want to create next. We are now in the second to last new moon of the summer, and after moving through a more emotionally charged period, the energy is beginning to pick up. Now it is time for action.

For the collective, one of the strongest messages coming through is around communication and not allowing pride to get in the way. There may be a person or situation that you need to confront, repair, or simply have an honest conversation about. Whatever applies to you, there is a call to communicate and create movement instead of allowing pride, fear, or ego to keep something at a standstill.

Pride, arrogance, and ego can be part of the shadow side of Leo energy, so it is no mistake that under this New Moon in Leo, you are being asked to set that part of the energy aside and tap into Leo’s courage instead. Take action. Speak up. Have the conversation that needs to happen.

Honesty, clarity, and truth are going to be especially important. If there is something that needs to be said, say it honestly. Do not become so afraid of the consequences of telling the truth that you avoid speaking it altogether. Whatever the conversation ultimately yields, trust that clarity is better than remaining stuck because something important was left unsaid.

For some of you, this may also mark the beginning of a new cycle around communication. Maybe you have struggled in the past with speaking up, maintaining your boundaries, standing your ground, or expressing what you truly need. This is an opportunity to communicate differently and remain grounded in your truth.

There is also a larger new beginning surrounding the collective under this moon. Whatever has been happening in your life, know that a new slate is becoming available. If you have been unhappy, if things have not gone your way, or even if things have gone well but you know it is simply time for something different, a new cycle is beginning.

With that new beginning comes a call to become more intentional about what you are building. You may need a stronger plan or strategy, particularly if this next chapter involves your work or finances, but this applies beyond those areas as well. Look at the long term. Make a proper plan. Stay disciplined and consistent with what you say you want to create.

It is time to stop playing games with the things that genuinely matter to you. Become serious about what you need first, and then what you want. Look at the bigger picture and begin creating a chapter rooted in love, peace, good health, positivity, and the things that actually support the life you want to live.

This is also where the message around pride becomes especially important. Pride and ego can easily become obstacles if you allow them to influence your decisions. As you weigh your options, make plans, decide which conversations need to happen, and determine what your next steps should be, ask yourself honestly: Is this coming from my ego, or is this coming from my heart?

That question can also help you discern the difference between what you truly need and what you simply want. Your mindset matters. Your level of self-awareness matters. How you approach this new beginning matters.

There is new energy available to you, but you still have a responsibility for how you move within it. Do not allow pride to throw you off course. Do not allow ego to become the very obstacle standing between you and the change you have been asking for.

Move with courage. Speak with honesty. Make decisions from a grounded place, and build this next chapter with intention.
