New Moon in Cancer | July 14, 2026
It is safe for me to release what no longer serves me. I trust the timing of my life and welcome the new chapter unfolding before me.
The New Moon in Cancer is the first new moon after the Summer Solstice, making it a powerful time for new beginnings, setting intentions, and preparing for the next chapter. Cancer is a water sign known for its emotional depth, intuition, and sensitivity. During Cancer season, emotions often rise to the surface, giving us an opportunity to become more aware of what we are carrying and what is ready to change.
For the collective, the first question coming through is simple: What do you need to release?
What emotions are you still holding onto that need to be let go of? What beliefs are you still holding onto that no longer serve you? What situations or people are you still holding onto that it is time to release? These are the questions you are being called to sit with under this new moon.
You are also being asked to look deeper within yourself. Have you been operating a certain way for so long that you have mistaken it for who you are, when in reality it may simply be who you conditioned yourself to become for protection? This is a powerful time to reflect on those patterns with honesty and compassion.
There are many things that may naturally begin to fall away during this season, and that is not something to fear. Life moves in cycles, and part of every cycle is knowing when it is time to let go. Sometimes we hold onto people, situations, emotions, or beliefs simply because they have become familiar, even when they no longer align with where we are going.
This is also a reminder to take time for yourself. Quiet your mind. Spend time in prayer, meditation, or whatever helps you reconnect with yourself and with God. Give yourself permission to slow down and create space for clarity. The less resistance you have toward what is unfolding, the easier this transition becomes.
The second message coming through is that this release is a necessary step toward your next chapter. Whether you have been waiting for closure, waiting for change, or waiting for a new beginning to arrive, know that this process is preparing you for what comes next.
As this new energy begins to enter your life, there will also be a door closing to the past. That is why releasing is so important right now. You cannot fully embrace a new chapter while continuing to carry everything from the last one.
Trust that what you have experienced has served a purpose. Every lesson has helped shape you, strengthen you, and prepare you for where you are going next. Continue to take things one day at a time. Rest when you need to. Spend time in prayer and meditation, and trust that everything is unfolding at the right time.
Above all, remember this: what is meant for you will not pass you by.
